Despite being cancelled by NBC after its third season, Manifest has become a big hit on Netflix. Its popularity on the streamer even sparked talks with Netflix about a streaming exclusive Manifest season 4.

What is Manifest about?

When a passenger plane lands after a turbulent but safe and routine flight, the passengers are relieved to reach their destination. But while they were in the air for just a few hours, their plane disappeared and was missing for five years. Everyone they know has aged and moved on in that time.

That’s the starting point of Manifest. As the passengers try to return to their old lives, new mysteries reveal that their fates may have been caught up in something bigger.

Is Manifest season 3 on Netflix?

Last August, Manifest season 3 finally dropped on Netflix.

Is season 4 happening on NBC or Netflix?

On August 28, Netflix announced that Manifest season 4 will be produced for the streaming service.

After NBC canceled the show, Manifest’s studio, Warner Bros. TV, had talks with Netflix on continuing the series. However, a few days later, Deadline reported that the talks had broken down on a Manifest Season 4 renewal.  Since then, the show has continued to dominate the top 10 most streamed shows list on Netflix in the US.

Due to renewed interest, Deadline reported in July 2021 that NBC was once again in talks with Warner Bros on possibly continuing the show and Netflix is also talking to the studio about picking up the series. The show’s creator Jeff Rake has also been using his Twitter account to keep fans energized about a possible revival, writing in one post, “I’m not giving up. Keep the faith.”

In mid-August, Deadline reported that Netflix was in talks with the show’s cast and writers about making a deal for a possible Manifest season 4. It added that NBC is reportedly no longer interested in such a renewal for a series.

What is Manifest season 4 about?

Everyone has been pretty tight-lipped about the plot of Manifest season 4.

Creator Jeff Rake has suggested his originally planned conclusion for the show will fit into this final season. For a show with so many twists and turns, that doesn’t tell us much, so you’ll have to tune in or wait for more info from Netflix.

Who is in Manifest season 4?

Soon after Netflix secured the rights to produce Manifest season 4, Deadline reported that the show’s two main cast members, Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh, are signed on to return for the final season. Dallas has since revealed that he’s directing at least one episode.

Other regular cast members are also either set to return or are in talks to appear in the final season.

So far, some of the confirmed actors include Matt Long, J.R. Ramirez, Parveen Kaur, Ellen Tamaki, Daryl Edward, Luna Blaise, and Jared Grimes.

That’s a lot of returning stars, for fans who were worried the show might have to change course at Netflix.

How many episodes will there be in season 4?

Shorter seasons have become the norm in the streaming age, but Manifest will go out with a pretty hefty final season.

Manifest season 4 will run for 20 episodes.

When will Manifest season 4 debut on Netflix?

Right now, there’s no official word on when the fourth and final season will drop on the streamer. Creator Jeff Rake did suggest November 2022 as a likely premiere date on Twitter in an exchange with author Stephen King

It’s possible that the supersized 20-episode season could be broken into two or more parts, with each set of episodes debuting at different times.
