LG Xboom Rock drops to $69.99 on Amazon

The LG Xboom Rock by will.i.am is built for taking music outside, and there’s a nice deal on it right now on Amazon. It’s a compact, portable Bluetooth speaker from LG that prioritizes durability and ease of carrying, making it a good fit for hiking, travel, and general outdoor use.

LG positions the Xboom Rock as a rugged speaker for on-the-go listening. It has IP67 water-and-dust resistance, so it’s made to handle rougher conditions than a basic indoor speaker. It also has shock-focused durability and is described as meeting MIL-STD-810H-style durability testing, which adds to its adventure-ready design. This model is part of LG’s newer xboom by will.i.am lineup, with sound tuning that puts the focus on portable listening rather than huge party-speaker power.

Another useful detail is the recharge time. LG lists battery charging at about 3 hours, which is handy for a small speaker you might want to grab and take with you again the same day. The overall design is aimed at being pocket-sized and travel-friendly, so it’s more about bringing music anywhere than filling a giant space.

As for the deal, Amazon has the LG Xboom Rock by will.i.am Portable Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker for $69.99, down from its $79.99 recommended retail price. That’s a $10 discount, or 13% off the RRP. If you want a compact Bluetooth speaker that’s made for outdoor use and backed by LG’s rugged design focus, this looks like a good time to pick one up.
