Kindle Colorsoft Kids deal knocks the 16GB color e-reader down to $209.99

Amazon has cut $90 off the Kindle Colorsoft Kids, bringing the 2024 model down to $209.99 from its $299.99 retail price. That’s a 30% discount relative to the RRP, and it’s the lowest price we’ve seen for this reader since Prime Day.

This deal stands out because the Kindle Colorsoft Kids features a color E-Ink touchscreen, which makes comics, illustrated books, and colorful covers more fun to read. It comes with 16GB of storage, so there’s room for a big library, and Amazon includes 6 months of Amazon Kids+ for access to age-appropriate reading content and kid-focused software features.

It also packs in the extras you’d want from a daily e-reader. You get USB-C charging, an auto-adjusting front light for reading in different lighting, and Dark Mode. Battery life is rated at up to 12 weeks, so it can go a long time between charges. There’s also Bluetooth support for VoiceView accessibility, and it appears to support wireless charging with an optional dock.

The color screen is a big reason to look at this model now, especially for kids who read graphic novels, comics, and other illustrated titles. Amazon shoppers have also given it a 4.4/5 rating, which makes this discount look even better. At $209.99, this is a strong chance to grab a more premium kids’ Kindle for a lot less than usual.
