JBL Soundgear Sense open-ear earbuds fall to $83 at Amazon with 50% off

Staying aware of what’s going on around you matters when you’re walking outside, working out, or moving through a busy day. The JBL Soundgear Sense is built for that kind of use, and there’s a strong Amazon deal on it right now.

Amazon has the Soundgear Sense down to $83, which is 50% off the $165 recommended retail price. That saves you $82, and it’s the best deal we have seen this year.

These are open-ear true wireless earbuds, so they leave your ear canal uncovered instead of sealing it off. JBL uses its OpenSound air-conduction design here, which makes the Soundgear Sense a good fit for people who want to listen to music or podcasts while still hearing traffic, voices, or gym announcements.

They’re also made for long wear. The flexible earhooks help keep them in place, and JBL includes an optional detachable neckband for extra security during workouts or other movement. Inside, you get 16.2mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, and multipoint pairing, so switching between two devices is easier.

Battery life is rated at up to 6 hours on the earbuds, with up to 24 hours total when you include the charging case. The earbuds also have an IP54 rating, which helps with sweat, dust, and light splashes. For calls, JBL says the Soundgear Sense uses 4 microphones, and the JBL Headphones app adds sound personalization and control over settings.

For anyone who wants audio without shutting out the world, this deal makes the JBL Soundgear Sense a lot more tempting at $82.99.
