Original Pebble devices have been on the market since 2012, and their simple, low-tech interface combined with high-tech fitness tracking and smartphone integration has made them a favorite for fitness and tech enthusiasts alike. Now Pebble is finally unveiling the much anticipated Pebble 2 with the tagline “Put your heart into it.”

As you may have guessed from that slogan, Pebble 2 technology puts additional emphasis on fitness tracking, including heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. In a collection of buzzy ads, Pebble is promoting the Pebble 2 as “the perfect pal for crushing your activity, recovery, and training goals.” It boasts some fairly robust exercise tracking capabilities, and it integrates seamlessly with the dedicated app to give you detailed feedback and metrics regarding your fitness. It also supports voice commands and displays notifications while you’re on the go.

What makes the Pebble 2 an attractive offering for many is its relatively affordable price tag. Whereas you can easily break the bank springing for some of today’s more elaborate smartwatches, these wearables only go for $99 for the standard edition or $129.99 for the heart rate monitoring version. It’s water resistant, sports a rugged build, and is lighter, thinner, and stronger than the original Pebble. If you’re in the market for an upgrade, then that time might have come.
