HTC has just announced their next Android phone, the Desire 620. As a follow-up to the Desire 610, the 620 will offer an inexpensive price tag, decent specifications and solid build quality. HTChas been widely successful in the mid-range market, specifically with the Desire line, and it looks like the 620 will be another great mid-ranger.

The Desire 620 boasts a 5-inch 720p display, 1GB RAM, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. A 2100mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot (up to 128GB) are also included with the device. The phone will be shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat and HTC’s Sense 6 software. The 620 also comes in a variety of different color options, including white, gray, gray with orange accents, gray with blue accents, and white with orange accents.

The Desire 620 will be available in the UK early next year. As for the price? No information has been announced yet, though it would be quite unlike HTCto release an expensive Desire phone. We expect to see a release from HTCin the coming weeks, detailing the release date, exact pricing, and carrier availability. The 620’s specifications certainly give the Moto G (2nd Gen.) a run for its money. So if HTCcould sell the phone for the right price, we could see a worthy competitor for Motorola’s budget offerings.

How are you liking the Desire 620, based on what we’ve seen? Could it be your next smartphone?
