- Google is also adding more quiz formats and 60-second Video Overviews in more than 80 languages.
Google is rolling out new updates to Gemini Notebook, formerly known as NotebookLM. One of the biggest additions is the ability to have real-time conversations with your Notebook in nearly 100 languages.
You’ll soon be able to talk through subjects with your Notebook using the Gemini Notebook app on Android and iOS. The feature will roll out to Google AI Ultra subscribers this week, followed by Google AI Pro subscribers and others.

Google says you can ask questions, get step-by-step guidance, and interrupt at any time while your Notebook is speaking. The experience is very similar to how Gemini Live works.
Another interesting new feature builds on Gemini Notebook’s ability to take photos and upload handwritten notes, worksheets, and other study material. You can now use the new audio recorder in the Gemini Notebook mobile app to record lectures and capture your thoughts.

Google says your notes will live alongside your sources, allowing you to chat, cite, or build them anytime. This feature is available only in English, though, for both web and mobile users.

Next up, Gemini Notebook will now let you build interactive Learning Overviews (under Reports) to bring together summaries, infographics, quizzes, and flashcards. This will roll out to users in the next few weeks.
Gemini Notebook is also adding new quiz formats in the next few weeks, including short-answer, multiple-select, and fill-in-the-blank. You’ll also be able to create 60-second Short Video Overviews in more than 80 languages and share them with others.
