TL;DR
  • Renders of the Garmin Venu 2 Plus smartwatch have leaked online.
  • The watch will apparently have a 43mm size and offer three side buttons.

We quite liked the Garmin Venu and Venu 2 smartwatches, delivering accurate fitness tracking and sharp OLED screens. Garmin is undoubtedly hard at work on more watches though, and it looks like we’ve got an early look at one of these wearables.

Veteran leaker Evan Blass posted a trio of Garmin Venu 2 Plus renders on Twitter, showing a watch that maintains the circular display of its predecessors. Check out the images below.

The renders also show a watch with three buttons on the right-hand side as opposed to two buttons seen on the previous watch.

Otherwise, we can make out text on the bottom of the Garmin Venu 2 Plus that lists features like music, GPS and GNSS, water resistance down to 50 meters, a stainless steel design, and Gorilla Glass. The text also mentions that the watch is a 43mm model, which slots in between the 45mm Venu 2 and 40mm Venu 2S.

In any event, our own Jimmy Westenberg described the previous wearable as a “well-rounded, feature-packed multisport smartwatch” in his Venu 2 review. He did however lament the inconsistent battery life, hit-and-miss heart-rate sensor data, and high price. So hopefully the Garmin Venu 2 Plus addresses these issues when it eventually comes out.

What do you think of this upcoming smartwatch’s design? Let us know via our poll below.
