GameSir Pocket Taco gets a 20% discount on Amazon

Phone gaming in portrait mode can feel awkward with touch controls, especially if you spend time with retro games, arcade titles, or other vertical-friendly games. The GameSir Pocket Taco is built for exactly that kind of play, and there’s a nice deal on Amazon right now that drops it to $27.99.

That price is down from its $34.99 recommended retail price, which means you’re saving $7 for a 20% discount relative to the RRP. It’s also the lowest price we’ve seen this year, and only the second time this controller has gone on sale.

The Pocket Taco is a compact Bluetooth controller that clips onto the bottom of your phone for portrait play, giving it a retro handheld feel. It’s very light at about 62g, and it folds down for easier carrying when you’re not using it. Instead of trying to be a full-size controller, it focuses on a D-pad and face buttons, which makes it a better fit for older-style games and vertical titles.

It also supports app-based customization, along with alternate input modes for broader compatibility. That gives you a bit more control over how it works with different games and devices. On Amazon, it also carries a solid 4.5 out of 5 rating, which is a good sign for a more unusual gaming accessory like this.

For anyone who wants a small controller for portrait gaming rather than the usual landscape setup, this deal makes the GameSir Pocket Taco easier to pick up.
