Back in May of this year, Fleksy set the world record for the fastest texting keyboard. Apparently, they’ve done it again. Today they announced that they broke the texting speed record and will be entered a second time into the Guinness Book of World Records.

The record was accomplished by Marcel Fernandes Filho who is 17 years old. He had the original record of 18.19 seconds (set back in May) and beat it with a new record of 17.00 seconds. They did it on an iPhone 6 Plus but a record is a record. If you want to watch it happen, the video is embedded above.

Fleksy
In addition to their newest achievement, Fleksy has announced a price drop for their Android app. From here on out, it’ll be going for $1.99 instead of the $3.99 or a permanent price drop of 50%.

Those on the fence about Fleksy have a good reason to give it another shot since it’s not only a few bucks. Fleksy has had a lot of momentum this year and its good to see them riding the wave well. For those who are curious, here is the phrase Marcel had to type:

The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
