A new week is upon us and that can only mean one thing for my daily routine – it’s time to bring you the ‘Crouwdfunding project of the week’. Every week we feature the coolest campaigns around, as we know it can be hard to find the best innovations in a sea of crowdfunding projects from sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Today we are taking a look at MIN7, a speaker that is meant to take things to the next level. Are you looking for a seriously good-looking and powerful speaker? Then today’s featured project is for you. But I feel we should start by telling you grabbing one of these from Indiegogo will cost you at least $499 (MSRP will be $799).

That’s a relatively high amount of money for a speaker, but you are also getting a lot of speaker. For starters, the MIN7 is one of the best-looking speakers I have seen. It sports an elegant wooden body. You can pick between three types of wood: teak, oak or walnut. They use wood splicing technology to make their products “green”, as the material is taken from big furniture and re-used.

Though looks are important, sound is of much more concern. The MIN7 has 2 amplifier board chips powering a 150W 2.1 stereo system.

In order to engineer the best sound, our speaker drivers expert with over 26 years of experience specially designed a new 1” silk dome tweeter, 4” paper cone woofer, and 5.25” subwoofer to deliver the best transition from low to high frequencies.

As you can see, the speaker is large, so it is not made for mobility, but it does have all the connections needed for a good listening experience. You can connect your devices using WiFi (Airplay) and Bluetooth wirelessly. It’s also possible to plug in using the USB, optical, coaxial and analog ports.

The speaker is compatible with Muzo Player, an app that allows for multi-room, multi-source and multi-channel listening. It also supports music apps like Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn and more.

Sounds like a good deal? It is certainly a great speaker, even if it is a bit pricey. Would you pay $499 (or $799) for a speaker like the MIN7? If you would, you can go ahead and check out the Indiegogo campaign for more details.
