COROS launches the Pace 4 Pro with a bigger battery, more RAM, and supersized screen

When it comes to the world of training, there aren’t many smartwatches that can compare to what Garmin brings to the table. However, COROS is among the few brands that can keep up and compete. Almost a year after launching the Pace 4, the company is back with a Pro model.

COROS has announced the release of its latest offering, the Pace 4 Pro. Just like before, the Pace 4 Pro is targeted at athletes across all endurance sports. However, there are a few big improvements that could make it worth your while. The most notable of which is the display.

COROS went big with the Pace 4 Pro’s screen, which measures 1.47 inches. Compared to the Pace 4, the Pro’s display is 22% larger. In fact, this new smartwatch boasts the largest screen the brand has ever made.

Along with supersizing the LTPO AMOLED screen, the resolution has been bumped up to 466 x 466 pixels. COROS has switched from mineral glass to sapphire glass and fiber-reinforced polymer to titanium alloy (TC4) for the bezel. Additionally, it delivers up to 3,500 nits of brightness from this panel.

The display isn’t the only area the Pro improves on. You can expect better battery life as well. The Pace 4 was said to offer up to 19 days (six days with Always-On Display turned on) of battery, but COROS says the Pro offers up to 21 days (seven days with Always-On Display turned on) of battery life.

In addition to better battery life, the company also gave the Pro more RAM. The Pace 4 Pro has twice the amount of RAM as the Pace 4. This should help make the experience feel more snappy than before.

With these changes, there are some trade-offs. One is that the smartwatch will take up more of your wrist, measuring at 47.6 x 47.6 x 11.8mm. It’s also a little heavier than the Pace 4, specifically 11g heavier. With the silicone band, it weighs 51g, but the nylon band brings that down to 43g.

Meanwhile, the smartwatch supports voice notes that automatically sync with workout files, in case you want to add your reactions to a workout. The Pace 4 Pro also features onboard sensors to track heart rate, altitude, ambient temperature, pulse oxygen, and ECG. Along with that, users will have access to the full COROS training ecosystem.

The Pace 4 Pro is up for purchase starting today on COROS’ website. There are only two color options available: Black and White. The COROS Pace 4 Pro comes with a price tag of $449.
