When Carmegeddon finally launched its port of the 1997 cult-classic for Android last summer, they celebrated the arrival with a “promo” version of the Carmegeddon absolutely for free. The promo contained the full game experience and was designed to get around a Play store policy that doesn’t allow free games to later be priced.

After the first 24 hours, the promo disappeared for good with the ‘regular’ retail version setting gamers back $1.99. For those that have never experienced Carmageddon for Android, Stainless Games is now giving you a chance to grab the game for free once again.

This time studio is celebrating the upcoming launch of the PC game Carmageddon: Reincarnation on Steam Early Access. As before, the deal is for one day only, so if you’re at all interested you better download it while you can.

If you’ve never heard of Carmageddon, you have been missing out. Basically its an ultra-violent racing game where you actually get points for hitting pedestrians and cows while you race around like a crazy person. There are 30 vehicles to unlock, multiple control methods, a career mode with 36 different levels and so much more.

This game might not be for everyone, but it’s still quite addicting and extremely violent. To grab the game for yourself, hit up the Google Play link.
