The Bump might be the all-in-one charging solution you've been looking for

If you're looking for something a little different than your standard battery pack, you should check out the Bump -- it's an odd little orb that acts as a wall outlet, battery pack and cable holder.

Bump 1

It’s not too often we see innovation when it comes to portable battery packs. They’re normally shaped like unattractive bricks, and the only differentiator between them is their size and color. They’re also inexpensive and plenty useful, which is why most smartphone owners probably own one. If you’re looking for something different, though, you should check out the Bump. It’s available now for pre-order, and it’s much cooler than your standard battery pack.

The Bump is a unique little accessory that will make charging your phone easy. The orb-shaped piece in the center is the power bank, and also has fold-out prongs so you can plug it right in to the wall outlet to charge it and your phone at the same time. The bumper attachment on the outside acts as a cable holder to store away your Micro USB or Lightening cable as well. It’s a bit of an odd design, really.

Bump 2

With only 3,400mAh of battery capacity, it’s not the largest power bank available, but it’s certainly one of the most unique. It also costs $65, making it much more expensive than other batteries out there. There’s also a $10 add-on (if you happen to live in the U.S.) that will get you up to three discounted cable replacements per year. Not a bad deal if you’re the type that forgets your cables everywhere you go.

The draw here is that the Bump provides and all-in-one charging solution for your smartphone. No, it’s not cheap, nor is it the biggest charger on the market. It’s innovative, which is why I’m so interested in this little device. Will you be ordering one for yourself? Let us know what you think in the comments.
