Original article, June 26, 2018 (8:25AM EST): It’s been a long wait to hear more from Clash of Clans and Clash Royale developer Supercell about its next game, but now, just over one year after its initial reveal, Brawl Stars has finally arrived on Android in selected regions.
Users in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Macau, Malaysia, Norway, Singapore, and Sweden, can download the free-to-play title on the Google Play Store.
Supercell describes Brawl Stars as a “fast-paced multiplayer battle royale” but you shouldn’t go in expecting a Fortnite or PUBG-style experience.
Instead, Brawl Stars is more of a MOBA-like top-down shooter where teams of three face off against each other as unique Brawler heroes that can be customized with unlockable skins.
While you can play solo, Brawl Stars is built for multiplayer mayhem. There are four different modes and a host of Brawlers to upgrade and master.
Users in the aforementioned countries can download Brawl Stars from the Play Store by hitting the button below. As this is a soft launch, it seems likely that a global release will be just around the corner. If you’re incredibly impatient, however, you could always use a decent VPN to play it early.
