Amazon has dropped the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 headphones to $479, down from its $749 recommended retail price. That saves you $270, which is a 36% discount relative to the RRP, and it is a deal worth jumping on while it lasts.

There is some urgency here, too. Stock is running out fast, and the Royal Burgundy color is the only one available at this price right now. For a flagship pair of wireless headphones from a premium audio brand, this is a big cut on a model that still sits in the high-end part of the market.

The Px8 is Bowers & Wilkins’ flagship over-ear wireless headphone, built with cast aluminum arms and soft Nappa leather for a more premium feel. It places a strong focus on sound quality, with Bluetooth 5.2, aptX Adaptive support, and 24-bit high-resolution wireless playback. The sound is described as refined and detailed, aimed more at listeners who care about fidelity than extra bass.

For blocking outside noise, you get hybrid active noise cancelation with 6 microphones, plus an ambient pass-through mode when you need to hear what is going on around you. Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with Bluetooth and ANC on, and a 15-minute quick charge can deliver about 7 hours of playback. You also get USB-C charging, wired USB-C audio, and wear detection that pauses playback automatically when you take the headphones off.

At $479, this Amazon deal makes the Px8 much easier to justify than at full price, especially if the Royal Burgundy finish is the one you wanted.
