AT&T launching LG K10 and G Pad X 8.0 on July 22
AT&T is expanding its affordable device lineup with the addition of the LG K10 and LG G Pad X 8.0 from the end of this week. Beginning Friday, July 22, the carrier will offer both devices to postpaid customers signing up to an installment plan.
The LG K10 was launched earlier this year and is a budget smartphone offering a 5.3-inch 720p IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by an octa-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage that can be expanded using microSD. On the back it has a 13MP main camera with single LED flash while the front facing camera is a 5MP snapper. The whole package runs on Android 5.1.1 Marshmallow (with a presumed upgrade to Android Marshmallow) and is powered by a 2300mAh battery.
The LG G Pad X 8.0 sports an 8-inch Full HD display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage that can be expanded by up to 25GB. A pair of 5MP camera adorns either side of the tablet, offering some form of video calling capabilities while an array of connectivity options include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and LTE. The whole package runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is powered by a 4,650 mAh battery.
AT&T hasn’t confirmed upfront pricing for either device, but both will be available as part of the AT&T Next installment plan. The K10 is expected to be available for $6.00 per month over 30 months while the G Pad X 8.0 will start at $49.99 per month over a two year contract. Full press release below.
