Poll: Is the ASUS Zenfone 9 hot or not?

ASUS has officially unveiled the Zenfone 9 today, showing us a compact flagship phone largely in line with last year’s Zenfone 8. It also ticks quite a few boxes for a flagship device in 2022, such as the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and an IP68 rating.

Nevertheless, we want to know whether you think the Zenfone 9 is a hot device or not. You can give us your opinion by making a selection in the poll below and leaving a comment if you’d like to elaborate.

We can see why many people would like the phone, owing to features like the compact design, 3.5mm port, and gimbal-style stabilization for the main camera. This is in addition to the aforementioned chipset and IP rating.

In saying so, there are also a few reasons why you might not like the device. For one, the $699 price tag is pretty good for the US but that €799 European price is quite a huge leap up. It’s also disappointing to see just two OS updates and “at least” two years of security patches. Otherwise, you’re also missing out on wireless charging.
