Man, the Zenfone 3 is like a wet mogwai, spawning more clones than Gizmo. (If you didn’t understand any of that last sentence you need to go watch Gremlins because it’s great.) Asus has just announced another two new variants of the Zenfone 3: the Zenfone 3 Laser and the Zenfone 3 Max. This brings the rapidly growing Zenfone 3 family to a total of six (don’t forget Pegasus).
For now, both new devices are limited to a Vietnamese release but they may journey further abroad in time. The Zenfone 3 Laser price is set at VND 5,990,000 and the significantly cheaper Zenfone 3 Max price is just VND 4,490,000. That converts to around $268 and $201 in U.S. dinero, respectively.
On the specs front there’s not much in the way of details yet, but we’re chasing up a full specs sheet. Here’s what we’ve got from the presentation so far, with the full stream embedded below so you can see everything for yourself. What do you think of these two new variants?
