Google loves getting in the spirit of things, from its daily Google Doodles on the Search page to annual April 1st pranks. At this time of year though there’s only one day on everyone’s minds, and that’s Halloween. So Google has uploaded a whole host of Halloween-inspired animations in Android Pay.

The animations appear above your digital card on the payment screen, so you’ll get a frightful reminder of the joys of consumerism with every purchase you make. The animations are only available in the U.S., UK and Australia (where Android Pay is available) and you’ll need the latest version of Android Pay in order to see them. Here’s one of them in action:

If Monday is getting a little¬†too close for you and you’re still not prepared, remember: Google has updated its annual Frightgeist list of the most searched-for costumes. If you’re the laconic type and just can’t go past a little Android-inspired fun, you could always go dressed as a Galaxy Note 7 – because no one’s going to want to hang around you long enough to chat. Other timely tech-inspired¬†options would be AirPods, Google Assistant or the 3.5mm headphone jack…

Let us know your favorite animation in the comments below. What will you be dressing up as this year?
