Android 5.0.1 factory images arrive for Nexus 4 and Nexus 6

Android 5.0.1 factory images have now arrived for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 6.

Last week Android 5.0.1 started pushing out over the air to the Nexus 9 (Wifi), Nexus 7 2013 (Wifi) and Nexus 10. Shortly after that the factory images went up for these devices and HTCreleased 5.0.1 updates for the HTC One M7 and M8 GP Editions. So what about the rest of the Nexus family? While Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012) and a few 3G/4G tablet models are still missing — the Nexus 6 and Nexus 4 are now joining the party.

Considering it’s a pretty minor version jump, there’s probably not a lot new here other than bug fixes and perhaps a few other small changes. In other words, this isn’t exactly a “must have” download but if you absolutely want the latest and greatest without waiting for the OTA, you can grab the images below:
