The new Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen) is Amazon’s most powerful Fire TV products to date. It features a new hexa-core processor, doubling the performance of the first-generation Fire TV Cube. This allows the Cube to support 4K UHD content at up to 60 frames per second, along with Dolby Vision HDR.

The second-generation Fire TV Cube also supports Local Voice Control to quickly rattle off the most common voice commands. Range and quality of voice detection should also be improved through the use of eight far-field microphones and the use of beam-forming technology. The Fire TV Cube allows for control of your TV, soundbar, A/V receiver, and other smart home devices through HDMI CEC. If you’re really into the smart home ecosystem, the Cub can also be used to dim the lights, listen to the news, and perform all your familiar Alexa tasks like checking the weather.
