OUKITEL K4000 SCREEN TEST

Oukitel is among the newest Chinese smartphone brands that are starting to get the more recognition. Their devices come with very unique capabilities and offer great value. The most popular happens to be the Oukitel U6, which has mid-end specs and a secondary E-Ink screen that extends battery life up to 120 hours. What if you want great battery life without having to sacrifice a full-blown display, though.

The Oukitel K4000 carries a… well, 4000 mAh battery. The company claims the phone can survive for 7 days on a single charge, assuming it is going through “normal use”. Heavy usage should reduce that to 3 days. Long battery life is not the only feature Oukitel is touting, though. It seems this phone is also quite durable and can literally take a hammer to the face.

To prove this, Oukitel has taken a hammer to the K4000 screen multiple times. It’s apparent that the phone survived without a single crack, and no scratches are visible from where we stand. Give the video a watch and try not to cringe!

The one argument we could pose is that Oukitel never failed to place the phone above a box before hitting the K4000 with an iron hammer. This softer platform could arguably act as a cushion for the device. Would the results be different if the phone was placed on a hard surface? Likely, but we can’t deny this is still impressive, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass is known for being quite durable. Are any of you planning to get this one? I am still thinking the Oukitel U6 is a better option for my needs.
