It seems it was only last week the Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact were launched in the USA, and they are already getting a price cut. Wait… it was last week!

What is going on here? We can’t say for sure, but we can tell you there are some reasons why people may not want to buy an Xperia Z5 or Z5 Compact. For starters, Sony took forever to launch these phones in the States. Then there’s also the lack of a fingerprint reader, which may be reason enough to push some customers away.

To make up for these woes, Sony is now trying to welcome new users with open arms by cutting what seemed like an unreasonable price. Both devices have been priced down by $60. This brings the Sony Xperia Z5 to $539.99, while the Xperia Z5 Compact will now cost $449.99.
