We have already taken a good look at Sony’s elegant SmartWatch 3, but the company has a new stainless steel variant on display at CES, which we managed to spend a little hands on time with.

Internal hardware wise, the stainless steel version is an exact match to the original model. The changes are purely cosmetic, but the new look and feel definitely gives the smartwatch a more premium feel. Furthermore, Sony is also planning to sell a “holder” that, when attached to the core, allows wearers to change out to the band for a wide range of other styles.

Feel free to click on the thumbnails below if you would like a closer look at the steel band.

Sony has yet to announce pricing details for the metal band SmartWatch 3, but has stated that it will be made available sometime in February. The holder and selection of other watch straps will go on sale later in the year.
