Skype for Android has gone through numerous redesigns over the past year, and it’s about to go through one more. Microsoft today announced a new 6.0 update for the popular video chatting app that brings some visual changes and enhanced search features. For starters, the first thing you’ll notice is that Skype has gained a handful of Material Design enhancements. Microsoft has included a floating action button this time around, making it easy to start a new video call, audio call, chat or video message.

Additionally, Microsoft has brought some enhancements to the search feature, which will help you find your most important contacts and conversations much more quickly. Messaging in the app is improved, too. With the latest update, it will also be quicker to see which messages you’ve read and which ones you haven’t.

The version 6.0 update is now rolling out in the Google Play Store, so head to the link below for the download.
