Android O's new Night Light slider allows for a much finer adjustment of the Night Light experience for more sleep-conscious users.

Night Light was a new feature specific to the Google Pixel in Android N which gave users the ability to reduce the blue light channel on their phone. While this feature was very useful for keeping your phone from keeping you awake, the level of light remained the same intensity at all times. With Android O’s second developer preview, you can now adjust the intensity of this light to your specific liking.

To access this setting, long press on the night light section of the notification shade, then toggle it on. From here, you can use the slider below to adjust the intensity of the night light. If you’re using it during the day in a darker area, it may still be worth it to use night light, just on a lower setting.

Check out the screenshots below to see how it works, and let us know what you think.

Is this a feature you use often? Are you using a third party app since you don’t have a Pixel? Let us know!
