LG's V-series and Europe never really had the chance to mingle in the past. However, LG is said to be launching the V30 in European markets this year.

Unlike LG’s G-series smartphones, the V10 saw extremely limited release in Europe, and its successor never even set foot there. The good news, however, is that LG will reportedly bring this year’s V30 to European markets.

LG V30: all the rumors in one place (Updated: August 29)

The launch of the LG V10 back in 2015 seemed like a pivotal moment for the South Korean electronics company. Unlike its rival Samsung, LG had long struggled to create an attractive phablet with enough distinguishing features. The V10, however, boasted a durable design, an interesting secondary ticker, and impressive audio quality – there was finally a worthy Galaxy Note competitor in the Android world. That’s precisely why LG’s decision to not release the device in most European countries was so puzzling. And frustrating for many Europeans.

It looks like LG may have finally decided that yes, Europeans need big phones too!

Well, at least the V10 did eventually come to select markets in Europe, namely the Czech Republic and Italy. Its successor, the LG V20, never even set foot in Europe due to low demand for big-screen phones. Many of you are probably wondering if this year’s V-series smartphone will meet a similar fate. The good news is that with the V30 set to be unveiled in Europe this year – more specifically Berlin at the end of August – it looks like LG may have finally decided that yes, Europeans need big phones too (hoorah!). According to Faryaab Sheikh’s tweet, it’s been confirmed that the South Korean conglomerate would bring the V30 to Europe this year:

Breaking: I have just received confirmation that LG is definitely bringing the V30 to Europe! ? #LGV30 #IFA2017

It would be rather awkward if LG unveiled its flagship at IFA in Berlin and then proceeded to sell it only in North America and Asia, don’t you think? At any rate, we will have to wait until the official announcement to see if this is true and if so, exactly which countries would be getting it. In the meantime, stay tuned for more reports and our official coverage next month!
