HTC 10 Sense Feature Focus-12

Good news everyone! Well, not everyone. Mainly just owners of unlocked HTC 10 smartphones in North America. This morning a firmware update began rolling out that includes the official Android security patches. The update clocks in at a third of a gig and will bring software version 1.80.6171 to your device.

Not a whole lot of flash or razzamatazz to this update. Essentially all we’re getting is polish and security. On top of the June security patch, the update comes with a variety of non-specified bug fixes and system stability improvements. It’s worth noting that this is a pretty fast monthly security rollout for HTC.

HTC 10 owners might also be interested in knowing that their device also received an update to the default camera app over the weekend. This update improves RAW capturing and makes switching between the front and rear camera more efficient. Far from an overhaul, this update also provided a variety of bug fixes and minor improvements.
