Back in October, Madfinger Games released the highly anticipated Dead Trigger 2 to Google Play, delivering a gaming experience that featured quite a few improvements over the original — even if many folks resented the presence of in-app purchases.

Now a reasonably good game is getting even better as version 0.2.5 has now hit Google Play bringing 50 new game plays including new African environments, redesigned warfare rewards and so much more. Besides the new content, a big focus of the update seems to be re-balancing zombie difficulty and basically tweaking the game in ways that should make it much more enjoyable to play.

Here’s the full change-log of what to expect:

  • Features
  • Over 50 new gameplays
  • More Helicopter & Sniper missions
  • New African Environments
  • Redesigned Warfare Rewards
  • Balancing
  • Zombie difficulty has been rebalanced
  • Number of fast zombies decreased
  • Several missions have been rebalanced
  • Other
  • Various tweaks across the whole game
  • Pink textures on Galaxy Grand

In addition to bringing us a new update, Madfinger has also released a bit of news as to what to expect in version 0.3.0 of the app, including new story/warfare missions and Chinese environments.

  • Next Update 0.3.0
  • Chinese Environments
  • New Story/Warfare Missions
  • Challenges
  • New Melee Weapons
  • Special Christmas Update
  • Chat

If you’re a fan of the Dead Trigger series or just zombie games in general, you’ll certainly want to check this update out. For those that have already given the update a try, what do you think of the changes? A major improvement to the overall game experience or not?

I can’t see any game play updates myself. No new mission types or obvious balancing tweaks, just a revised menu.
