Alcatel Idol 4 with free VR goggles coming to Cricket on August 5

Alcatel’s brand new Idol 4 is coming to Cricket Wireless on August 5 for only $199.99. This is already a super good deal considering the specs this device offers, but the AT&T MVNO is making the deal even better by offering the Idol 4 that comes with a free pair of virtual reality goggles.

Announced back in February, the Idol 4 aims to bring all-around good specs, a solid build and some neat features to its users without breaking the bank. As a quick overview, the device sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 16GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion up to 256GB. It also has a 2610mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

As for the special features this device offers, it comes with something called a Boom Key that lets you define custom actions like taking photos, listening to music and much more. Alcatel also teamed up with JBL and Waves to bring a high quality audio experience to the device thanks to its two 3.6 watt speakers. The Idol 4 is also reversible from left to right, so stereo sound will always be on the correct side (even when the phone is flipped upside down).
