Android 5.0 factory images finally hit for Nexus devices

While the OTA updates for Lollipop have already started rolling out to Nexus owners, the factory images for Android 5.0 have so far been nowhere to be seen — unless you’re a Nexus 9 owner that is. Thankfully, Google has finally given us what we are waiting for!

The Lollipop factory images are now available for the following devices:

No Nexus 4 or 3g/LTE versions of the Nexus 7 just yet, though hopefully they follow suit in short order.

Keep in mind that installing these takes a little bit of know-how, though we have put together a guide that will help you along the way if you are new to manually installing updates. For those who’d rather wait, the OTA should be hitting your device eventually, though it could still be days (or longer) before it reaches everyone.
