Sony is expected to host an event in New York City on October 9th to discuss the company’s plans for the Z3 family in the US, which hopefully means a wider launch than just on T-Mobile’s network. In the meantime, today Sony revealed its plans for the United States’ northern neighbor, Canada.

The Xperia Z3 will launch on October 31th through Bell, MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Wind Mobile and through Sony Stores as well. Interestingly enough, this is most carrier partners Sony has had in Canada since 2012’s debut of the Xperia T. Hopefully that’s a hint at Sony’s plans to be more aggressive with its US launch as well. No specifics on pricing just yet, though we know it will be offered in white, black or copper.

For those interested in the Z3’s smaller sibling, there’s word on if or when the Z3 Compact will arrive in Canada just yet. So what do you think, planning on picking up the Xperia Z3 or not? Waiting it out for the (hopeful) launch of the Z3 Compact instead?
