One of the most significant announcements from today’s Xiaomi event was that of the new Mi TV Stick. Sadly, Xiaomi has only announced a 1080p version of the Mi TV Stick and there’s no news of a 4K variant just yet. Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5

Xiaomi Mi Band 5 features

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 in China last month, so we know mostly everything about it already. What we were awaiting confirmation on is if the global version of the fitness tracker features NFC. As it turns out, it doesn’t. Don’t expect to make payments using the Mi Band 5 anytime soon. There’s also no Amazon Alexa support onboard as previously rumored. Additionally, Xiaomi has even shaved off SpO2 or blood oxygen tracking from the international variant.

Elsewhere, all the specs of the global Mi Band 5 variant remain the same as its Chinese counterpart. It comes with 11 exercise modes, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, magnetic charging, 5ATM water resistance, and more. The only difference is that this global version is called the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5. You can read about all its features and specs in detail here.

The name of Xiaomi’s new true wireless earbuds is definitely a mouthful and they are nothing more than a rehashed version of the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. They have the same AirPods-like design and promise 20 hours of battery life with the charging case. Xiaomi claims the in-ears fully charge in 1.5 hours via USB-C. Just like the existing Mi TWS earphones, these come with noise isolation tech and a 14.2mm dynamic driver.

You can control them with double-tap gestures. The earphones include optical sensors for in-ear detection to automatically pause audio when popped out. The only difference between these new earbuds and the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 is that the latter support the LHDC codec for high-quality audio. The basic variants only come with support for SBC and AAC codecs.

The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic are priced at £49.99 (~$56.77) in the UK. They will be available on Xiaomi’s UK website starting July 16. The earphones are also available in Europe for €39.99 (~$46) and at an early bird price of €29.99 (~$34).

Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S

The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is the more powerful of the two with a 300W DC motor, built-in LCD monitor, a 12,800mAh battery, 8.5-inch pneumatic tires, a 2W headlight, and a dual braking system.

Both e-scooters will be available on sale in the UK and Europe soon. The Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 starts at €499 (~$571), while the Scooter 1S starts at €399 (~$457).

These two phones offer entry-level horsepower, the same 5MP selfie camera, HD+ screens, and the same 5,000mAh battery. Otherwise, the Redmi 9C brings a 13MP triple camera setup (13MP+2MP+2MP) and a rear fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, the Redmi 9A has a single 13MP rear camera and no fingerprint scanner.

The Redmi 9C starts at €119 (~$136) for the 2GB/32GB variant, while the 3GB/64GB option will set you back €139 (~$159). Meanwhile, the Redmi 9A retails for €99 (~$113) for a 2GB/32GB option.
