Wear Audio Recorder brings voice note recording to your watch

Wear Audio Recorder is a new Android Wear app designed to make it easy to record voice notes on your watch. Even better, the notes automatically sync to your phone.

Android Wear may be a very young platform, but we’re already starting to see quite a few interesting apps add support for the device. The latest of these new apps is the Wear Audio Recorder, which pretty much does what you would guess based on the name: it allows you to make a voice-recorded note.

The app can be found through a few easy swipes on the watch, and once you finish a recording it will send the voice note back over to your phone, while informing you that the transfer was successful via a card on your stream. If you’re recording a particularly long message it’s important to note that you can pause during the recording process, though keep in mind that the recordings are saved as uncompressed WAVs so you’ll want to keep the size and number of voice notes down if you don’t want to eat up too much space on your phone.

While Wear Audio Recorder is a pretty simple app, its easy to use interface makes it a useful addition for those that want to record quick notes to self — or perhaps for some stealth recording? I can see privacy advocates yelling in outrage over that suggestion, though. You can find the app for free right now by heading on over to Google Play.
