Did you know that there’s a native Tumblr app for Android? If the answer is no, we’re here to tell you that not only can you hop easily from one Tumblr page to the next using the dedicated app, but it finally supports Android tablets, such as the Nexus 7.

The added tablet support is a pretty big deal considering that the iPad is still left without one. In addition to the UI and design tweaks, such as the revised tags page, the latest version of Tumblr also comes with a new Following screen, which basically lists the peeps you follow in an alphabetical order. Tablet owners will also find a dedicated notifications button.

Unfortunately, we don’t think the app runs in landscape mode on slates. But funny gifs are funny gifs whether they’re in portrait or landscape. You can also do most things that the web interface offers, like posting, making drafts, queuing posts, viewing and replying to messages, and many more.

Fans of the micro-blogging platform can head to Google Play to get the tablet-friendly app. Check it out now to see what you’ve been missing out.
