See Material in action on an L release version of Talon for Twitter
Material this, Material that… We’ve all heard a lot about Google’s new design philosophy, and we even got a few examples of Material in mockups and samples. But nothing beats seeing Material in action, with its thoughtful animations, bold color palette, and clean typography.
If you’re running the L release preview on a Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 (2013), you can already see Material in the new Calculator app, the new Keyboard, and a few other places. If you want to dive deeper, Luke Klinker, the developer of the popular Talon Twitter client, released a Material-themed version of the app exclusively for L release preview devices.
You can see the app in the video embedded in Luke’s G+ post (make sure to switch to 1080p quality):
The app will not work on Android versions other than the L release preview, and is more of a proof of concept than an actual release meant for public consumption. The app, in its current form, is far from finished, but Luke says more features and tweaks will come in the future.
If you’re on L release, you can download the Material version of the Talon app from here.
