It’s been a while since we last heard about a particular T-Mobile device sporting a 5-row keyboard and HD display, but now we can finally give the Samsung SGH-T699 a name. In keeping with the tradition of using an overly long naming convention, the QWERTY phone will come to T-Mobile formally as the – takes a deep breath – Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q.  Want to guess what the Q in the name stands for?

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q will carry similar specs to its keyboard-less predecessor the Galaxy S Blaze 4G. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the device may sport the same 4-inch 720p HD display with. Likewise, there should be no change in the processor used, which means it’ll still be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S3 chip. It’s also expected to come with a 1GB of RAM, rear and front camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

For those of you that are itching for a new slider phone on T-Mobile, you don’t have to for too long for the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q until you’ll be able to type till you drop. TmoNews was able to dig up some details about the launch of the Galaxy S Blaze Q on T-Mobile. A leaked screenshot indicates that the slider phone will hit stores on August 15. So QWERTY phone lovers might want to mark down that date on their calendars.
