T-Mobile has teamed up with doubleTwist to release ‘multimedia sync by doubleTwist’ for Android based T-Mobile devices. All T-Mobile users are able to download an installer for the application directly to their computers. This will allow them to immediately start synchronizing music, photos and videos in a universal file format that will work on all Android based devices. Even iTunes based file formats are included in this synchronization process, suggesting that the software could prove very popular.

Currently available for Mac and Windows, ‘multimedia sync by doubleTwist’ will automatically seek out recognized file formats that are stored on your computer or connected external hard-drive. It will then seamlessly synchronize these with your mobile device. The software includes a comprehensive step-by-step guide and is available for other mobile phone operating systems such as BlackBerry and Nokia devices. Although the product has existed for a while, this joint venture with T-Mobile and an emphasis on Android will certainly throw them into the lime-light.
