In a press release, Sprint announced that it will start taking LG G2 pre-orders next month, with the device expected to launch “in time for the holidays.”

Pre-orders will begin on October 11, when interested buyers will be able to get the LG G2 for $199.99 with new two-year contracts. Furthermore, each customer that pre-orders the handset will get a free Quick Window case, which retails for $49.99.

What we can’t tell you today is when the LG G2 will ship, as the carrier has not announced such details at the time. However, the press release indicates that the phone will hit Sprint stores this year.

The LG G2 is the successor of the LG Optimus G1 and the new flagship of the South Korean company. The device packs a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD screen, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13-megapixel camera, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with plenty of LG software features.
