It was over a month ago that Carphone Warehouse opened the registration page for Sony’s compact handset, the Xperia Miro, in the UK. Since then we’ve seen many Xperia devices, from low- to high-end, introduced at the consumer electronics trade show IFA 2012 in Berlin. If your heart is still set on the Xperia Miro, you can now purchase the phone from the aforementioned retailer.

Only the black and white models of the Xperia Miro are up for sale on Carphone’s online store. You’ll get the phone for free if you sign up for a two-year contract with Vodafone, with monthly plan starting from £15.50. For £12 a month, on a similar 24-month contract with Talkmobile, you only need to pay £69.99 for the device.

You can also get the Xperia Miro on Vodafone’s Pay As You Go. The handset will cost £149.95 plus £10 for the first top-up, which should get you 100 minutes, 300 text messages, and 50MB data allowance.

Here’s a reminder of what the Xperia Miro has under the hood. Despite the seemingly petite figure, the phone packs a 3.5-inch display of 320 x 480 resolution. It comes with an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard storage, microSD slot, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1,500mAh battery, HSDPA, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Is the Sony Xperia Miro going to be your next Android smartphone?
