Sony Yuga to feature Galaxy Note 3 chip, 3GB RAM, 128GB storage – all to be unveiled at CES 2013?
Sony is getting better and better at making Android products, and the company is rumored to have some interesting plans for next year.
We already know at least two code names for upcoming Sony Xperia devices, the Yuga and the Odin, which keep popping up from to time on our radars. Add to that the Xperia 4, Xperia 5 and Xpera 5R and Xperia 6 we’ve heard of a few days ago, and you end up with a plethora of Android handsets that could be unveiled in the coming months.
But now there’s an even wilder rumor out and about concerning the Yuga, and this one includes a set of specs and features for the device. And they look like nothing you’ve seen so far on a smartphone, no matter what operating system it would run.
According to a post on it168 forum the Sony Yuga will offer you the following:
- Samsung Exynos 5 Quad CPU
- 3GB of RAM
- 5-inch OLED display Full HD
- 128GB storage
- 16-megapixel camera
- 3000mAh battery
- Water and Dust resistant
- IR blaster
The same forum poster says that the Exynos 5 Quad core that will be equipping the Yuga will not be used by the Galaxy S4, but by the Galaxy Note 3 next year. Moreover, the Yuga, as detailed above, should be unveiled at CES 2013 next month as a “major surprise.”
Is it all just wishful thinking? Is it a phone only Santa could make? We’ll grab our grain of salt and wait another month to see what Sony brings at its CES booth in Las Vegas.
