We’ve been covering the Xperia Z quite a bit over the past few weeks, and it seems that a lot of other people also share our interest in Sony’s latest handset, at least as far as the internet is concerned.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud has been tracking how social media has responded to CES, monitoring the most popular topics of conversation, products, celebrity mentions and key words used across various networks.
The results are quite interesting, Sony’s Xperia Z claims the top spot as the most talked about product by quite a large margin, taking a massive 44% of all mentions out of the top five recorded products. Samsungs 4K (Ultra HD) TV came in second with a healthy 24%, with the Razer Edge tablet, Nvidia Shield, and Ford’s Applink making up the other three places.
Samsung managed to take the top spot for the most talked about manufacture, with somewhere close to 60,000 mentions. Sony came in second by quite a distance, whilst Google, LG and other manufacturers hovered around only 20,000 mentions each.
Take a look at the rather large image below for a summary of all Salesforce’s findings over the course of CES 2013.
