A set of new images have leaked, purporting to be the Xperia Z3 Compact. Interestingly, this differs from the one previous image of the device.

Well this is interesting, a new set of images have appeared on Weibo showing off a handset that purportedly is the Xperia Z3 Compact. The catch is that these images don’t match with the image we previously saw of the Z3 Compact.

The big difference here is the placement of the front-facing camera. This could mean a few things: first, there could be two variants of the Z3 Compact. Second, this could be a completely different Sony handset altogether, or perhaps even a fake — though it certainly follows Sony’s aesthetics. Either way, we’d take the images with a grain of salt.

Aside from giving us a look at alleged images of the Xperia Z3 Compact, the source also claims the handset has a 4.6-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB RAM, 20.7MP Exmor RS rear camera and stereo speakers. These specs also differ from a previous report, which had claimed there would be just 2GB of RAM and a 4.5-inch (likely 720p) display. We find it hard to believe that Sony would offer a 4.6-inch 1080p display, but stranger things happen all the time.

What do you think of these new images, like what you see or not?
