Santa Tracker app arrives to Google Play, Chromecast support in tow

As expected, Google's Santa Tracker app for Android has now arrived to Google Play bringing several new games and Chromecast support.
December 12, 2013

Just last week Google re-launched its Santa Tracker website in time for the holidays, promising that an official Android app would be rolling out sometime in mid-December.

The day has finally come, and the app has now arrived to the Play Store. As you would expect, the app itself is free (with no in-app purchases of any kind) and works with just about any Android device going back all the way to Android 2.3.

Aside from tracking Santa’s journey on the evening of December 24th, there’s also three fun mini-games available to help you busy as you wait. None of the games are particularly complicated, but remember that they are designed with your kids in mind.

When it’s finally time to track old Claus on the 24th, the app even allows you to cast the countdown timer over to the big screen.

It’s great to see Google keeping this tradition alive, even if it no longer is working directly with NORAD to get the job done. Anyhow, to grab the app, you’ll want to head on over to Google Play.
