Samsung’s back at bashing Apple in its latest ads, and they’re pretty good

In its latest ads, Samsung is back at what it does best, which is making fun of the competition. And when we say competition, we mean, of course, the iPhone and the iPad.

The Galaxy S3 and the Note 2 were huge hits thanks in part to the cheeky, funny ads that compared Samsung’s new Big Thing with Apple’s iPhone. We all remember the spots making fun of Apple fans standing in line, and that campaign helped Samsung create a hip image for itself, not to mention a huge customer base.

After some less inspired campaigns involving football stars and creepy holidaymakers, Samsung is back at what it does best, which is making fun of the competition. And when we say competition, we mean, of course, the iPhone and the iPad.

The TabPRO 10.1 spot above does an excellent job at showing the benefits of choosing a Samsung tablet over the iPad Air, while channeling, tongue firmly in cheek, Apple’s well-known Pencil ad.

The second ad below does the same for the Note 3, with the star power contribution of LeBron James, who’s not at his first appearance in a Samsung ad.

So, what say you? Like the ads? I don’t know about you, but I look forward to the inevitable Galaxy S5 ads from the next week.
