  • It could pack an upgraded S Pen and improved ultra-thin glass.

Samsung could be working a triple-folding tablet called the Galaxy Z Fold Tab, as per an exclusive report from Gizmochina. The publication sourced this information in partnership with a tipster named Yogesh.

According to the leak, the triple-folding Samsung device will launch in the first quarter of 2022. Previously, information emerging from China showed an image of what the purported Galaxy Z Fold Tab might look like. There was no way of proving its authenticity at the time so we didn’t end up reporting it, but the leaked image looked pretty similar to TCL’s zigzag folding concept phone that you see in the image above.

The latest report also suggests that Samsung might tease this tri-folding device during the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. The company’s marketing team is apparently mulling the decision right now.

Apart from its unique folding display, the so-called Galaxy Z Fold Tab is also expected to support a new S Pen and an improved ultra-thin glass (UTG). Unfortunately, the report doesn’t mention how the stylus will differ from its current form. However, it does say that the new UTG and S Pen will be introduced with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3.

We’re not sure what to make of this latest leak just yet. It doesn’t come from our usual, reliable sources, so we would advise our readers to take it with a pinch of salt. If such a device is indeed in development, we expect to hear more about it from frequent Samsung tipsters in the coming months.
