TL;DR
  • The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 could launch as early as next month.
  • Samsung will also reportedly launch the new Galaxy Buds alongside the smartwatch.

There’s not a lot of information out there about Samsung’s next smartwatch, except for a name and possible size variants. Potentially called the Galaxy Watch 3, the smartwatch was previously expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series. However, a new report from SamMobile now asserts that it could launch as soon as next month.

Although the publication doesn’t specify a date, it has learned that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 will be unveiled in July. The new bean-shaped TWS buds will also reportedly launch alongside the Galaxy watch. SamMobile claims that they’ll be called the Galaxy Buds Live.

Both wearables are said to go on sale around the same time as the Samsung Unpacked event. This event is expected to take place online on August 5 but there’s no official confirmation yet.

As far as the price of the Galaxy Watch is concerned, we haven’t heard any rumors or seen any leaks so far. What we do know is that it could come in 41mm and 45mm size variants. It could also be the first Samsung smartwatch to get a titanium case like the Apple Watch Series 5. This, and the fact that there might be a rotating bezel on the new watch, could definitely drive up its price but we’ll have to wait and watch.

In the case of the new Galaxy Buds, a previous report pegged their price at under $150. That’s pretty much in line with the price of the Galaxy Buds Plus, even though the new buds are expected to get Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The feature was absent from the Galaxy Buds Plus and it’s good to see that it might not result in a higher price tag for the rumored Galaxy Buds Live than the predecessor.
