Great news tablet fans! The feature packed, Android 3.1 slinging, perfectly sized, world’s thinnest Android tablet – the Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch – has just made its way through official (and compulsory) FCC testing! It’s the tablet many are waiting for, and will feature the latest and greatest iteration of Android Honeycomb yet – Android 3.1. This brings with it substantial improvements to the user experience that many industry pundits have said are enough to begin unearthing the iPad 2. Oh yes!

You can expect a super snappy dual-core 1Ghz Tegra 2 CPU, 1 GB RAM, and of course, Android 3.1

We projected a little while back that things are looking good for an early June release, and this little gold nugget of news confirms our tech-hungry projections. Also, keep in mind that this imminent release date is for a Wi-Fi only Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch. Our sources have confirmed it will go on sale for the very reasonable price of $469, too.

Stay tuned!
