Samsung rolls out Galaxy S9/S9 Plus bundles: save on the Gear VR, IconX earbuds and more
- Samsung has announced two discounted bundles available for those buying a new Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus.
- The Ultimate Bundle includes a wireless charging stand, IconX earbuds, and a Gear VR headset.
- The Power Bundle includes a wireless charging pad, a car charger, and a battery pack.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus were released on March 16 and Samsung is offering a couple of discount bundles to people buying the phone over the next few weeks—the Power Bundle and the Ultimate Play Bundle.
The Ultimate Play Bundle is arguably the pick of the two. It contains a wireless charging stand, IconX Bluetooth earbuds, and a Gear VR headset. While it will set buyers back $99 on top of the price of the phone, Samsung says it has an estimated value of $400.
The Power Bundle is the other option and while it doesn’t offer as much of a saving, it does come a bit cheaper. If you choose this bundle you’ll get a wireless charging pad, a car charger, and a battery pack. It costs an extra $49 and according to Samsung has an estimated value of $170.
Additionally, Samsung is offering half off a DeX Station for Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus purchasers. This is a docking station that lets you plug in a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, and use your phone as a PC. For other Galaxy S9/S9 Plus deals, you can see our dedicated article at the link.
Samsung has long since provided a variety of accessories so users can get more out of its phones. While there are plenty of basic add-ons like cases and covers available, others like the Gear VR headset or the DeX station can truly transform your handset. They can be expensive, however—especially considering you have to own the phone in the first place. A chance to pick them up at a discount could be well worth it for some.
Those buying the Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus will be able to choose either the power bundle or the Ultimate Play bundle, not both, but it can be combined with Samsung’s pre-existing trade-in offer. The deal runs until April 6 or while stocks last, so if you want to take advantage of the discount, you had best not hang around.
